Desk
Desk is a small personal space to share what you're working on, see what other people are making, and work alongside them. It's free, it has no ads, and you can read all about it here without signing in.
What Desk is for
People who make things spend a lot of time alone at a desk. Desk gives each of them a desk of their own online and a quiet floor of other desks to wander through, so working alone feels a little less alone.
- Your Desk. A simple profile with your name, what you make, a desk colour and a few objects that say something about you, like a plant or a coffee/tea. It lives at visitdesk.app/your-username.
- Drops. Share a photo, a few photos or a short note about what you're working on today. You choose who sees each one: everyone on Desk, only neighbors who've added you back, or only you.
- The Floor. A calm feed of what people are working on right now. Drops leave the Floor after a day, so it's always fresh. There are no follower or like counts.
- Neighbors. Add the people whose work you like. Their Drops stay in your Neighbors feed.
- Lock in together. Start a timed focus session with a few tasks, and others can join you while you work. At the end you get a short wrap-up.
- Small kindnesses. Leave a sticky note on someone's Drop, a clap, or a gesture like a coffee/tea on their desk.
Who it's for
Designers, developers, writers, photographers, students and anyone else who makes things. Desk is for people aged 18 and over.
